Workshops in arts and crafts, music and drama are held weekly for children and teenagers as well as week long summer camps.Friars Gate is also home to the Ballyhoura Heritage Hub which provides a focal point for the various heritage attractions within the Ballyhoura region by means of a digital kiosk and literature collated on the heritage of the area.
