Ballyhoura Fáilte and local athletic clubs in the Ballyhoura region are organising a number of Running and Walking events over the summer. The aim of the series is to promote physical activity and tourism in the area while at the same time it is hoped that the events will be positive social occasions for the local communities.
The following are the remaining events in the series;
Fri. June 4th 8p.m.- Doneraile Park Trails 5km – Mallow A.C.

The series in its previous incarnations was a highly popular relaxed social festival of events and it is hoped that a similar positive atmosphere can be generated around these events to make them an enjoyable experience for all involved. Adults and teenagers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Entry fee’s for the individual events will vary between 5 and 10 euro. Tea, sandwiches and refreshments will be provided after each event before the prize giving takes place.
The next race in the Ballyhoura Summer Road Race Series kicks off on Sunday 16th May at 2pm in Kilfinane. Registration will be from 12pm onwards.

Great event in Doneraile on Friday, what a race route, well done to all involved, looking forward to the race in Kilfinane in 2 weeks time.

All roads lead to Doneraile on Friday 4th June - Sonia O' Sullivan will be appearing at the Doneraile Park Trails 5km race.

Enjoyed Bilboa 10km - very friendly and nice mixed course - flat 5km and then but hilly 5km. well done to organisers
