The 16th Lough Gur Storytelling Festival takes place during the October bank holiday weekend and runs from Friday Night 22nd to Monday Night 25th inclusive. It promises a feast of entertainment with storytelling, traditional music, song, dance and drama. Lough Gur is ideally located for a storytelling festival, as the area is steeped in legend and folklore. The facilities of the Honey FItz Theatre, with comfortable, tiered seating and the prehistoric atmosphere of the Interpretive Centre at Lakefront are ideal venues for all - both young and old - to participate and enjoy the events.
